Our company was established in 1962 by Mr. Yap Wan Shee who later sold it to his younger brother, Mr. Yap Poh Kwai. The company was registered as Yap’s Typewriter Service.
 
In 1978, it was renamed Yap’s Typewriter & Office Equipment to reflect the products it was retailing. Ever since its humble beginnings, the company has been growing by leaps and bounds and is today one of the largest office automation (OA) companies in the State of Kelantan.
 
On 1 January 1998, the company underwent another name change and since then has become officially known as YAP’S OFFICE AUTOMATION & EQUIPMENT, an appropriate appellation to indicate what we do best, which includes distributing, retailing, renting and servicing of office equipment and supplies, serving as consultants in office technology and representing agencies in maintenance contracts in Kelantan.
 
We are registered with Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia (No. 357-00011590), and are e-Perolehan enabled. Our broad-based customers include Federal and State Government Departments, financial institutions, the education sector and private business organizations.
 
As we have been in the OA business for over 40 years in Kota Bharu and consequently having acquired in-depth experience, resources and close business relationships, we are confident that our products and services will be received by our customers with much more than mere satisfaction.
